Following their victory over Yousen High, Seirin participates in a Basketball Monthly interview. Kagami steps outside to meet his former friend Tatsuya Himuro and Alex, but the reunion is interrupted by Shogo Haizaki of Fukuda Sogo Gakuen. Haizaki attacks Alex, prompting Kagami to intervene, though Himuro prevents further violence. Kise arrives and reveals Haizaki’s past as a Generation of Miracles starter. Kagami returns indoors to discuss this with Kuroko, learning that the upcoming quarterfinals will feature a battle between Kise and Haizaki. The victor of this match will advance to the semifinals to face Seirin.
