Kise and Haizaki compete directly to earn the right to face Seirin. Initially, it appears Haizaki possesses the same copying ability as Kise, as he successfully duplicates the movements of Kise’s teammates. However, a critical difference emerges: once Haizaki copies a move, the original user becomes unable to perform it. Kuroko explains that Haizaki employs psychological warfare by altering the timing of the copied techniques. When the original player attempts to execute the move again, they subconsciously adjust to the new timing and fail. As the second half begins, Kise and his team fall further behind. The episode questions whether Kise can discover a move Haizaki cannot utilize or if his team faces inevitable defeat.
