Ep. 5: Kennosuke Enrolls at Tateyama International High School Amidst Geoframe Threats

Kennosuke and Yukina, the sole operators of the Black Relic due to implanted nanomachine channels, enroll at Tateyama International High School. After painting an Oni likeness for the U.N. Research Institute, they meet GAUS Unit members Tom Borden, Liu Shen Mi, Sophie Noelle, and Toshiyuki Mozumi, who nickname Kennosuke Ken. Struggling with modern life, he learns from Health Ed teacher Marina Unami that the samurai era is over. Sophie questions their motives, expressing disappointment in Kennosuke’s answer. While the Black Relic is transported, NORAD detects an object leaving an alien space station for Toyama. Three additional Geoframes land near the town, prompting mobilization. Kennosuke and Yukina reach the Relic to prepare for battle.
