Ep. 3: Kennosuke accepts his displacement in the future after a battle with a Cactus unit.
Six large alien units landed on Earth sixty years ago, with management assigned to the United Nations. Examination of destroyed Cactus units reveals no human pilot. Kennosuke brings the Black Relic to the uninhabited Azumi Castle but is captured by UN forces, who immobilize the relic and subdue him with a neck collar. Temple resident Osho Yakushi learns Kennosuke was a Washiba Clan retainer in the Sengoku period 450 years ago. Kennosuke escapes with Koharu, but they are attacked by a Cactus unit that captures her. Kennosuke returns to the UN facility, summons the black cube, and boards Yukina to pursue the enemy. He catches the unit but his sword breaks. Two single-seater Dwarf units arrive to destroy the Cactus unit and rescue Koharu. Witnessing a massive rock split in two during past combat, Kennosuke finally accepts he is in the future.
