A broken classroom heater forces Yūki, Kazumi, Megumi, Natsumi, and Chika to the health office, where they measure each other after driving away the nurse. Ryōta is repeatedly shooed from the room due to his worsening respiratory condition. Later, the girls find a duck in the pool, naming it Kobayashi, which eventually flies away on its own after they fail to guide it to a flock. Meanwhile, Yūki, Megumi, Haruka, and Chika start a week-long hair styling contest after Kazumi arrives with pigtails. Finally, Ryōta, Kouji, and Tsubasa receive a stern warning from Chika and Natsumi for their winter ice-stomping game and subsequent competition over the largest ice fragment.
