Ep. 16: Sophia returns to Anatoray while political tensions rise and Disith forces launch a surprise attack on the capital.
Sophia departs the Silvana to reach the Anatoray capital, where Prime Minister Marius urges the Emperor to show mercy to the Disith after they lost their homes. The Emperor refuses, executing the Disith envoy and placing Marius under house arrest. Meanwhile, Mullin reflects on his past as a musketeer, and Alex prepares to strike the Guild, with Claus revealing the vanship's true owner to Lavie. Upon arriving in the capital, Sophia pleads for unity against Disith but is imprisoned in the tower by the Emperor. Marius visits her, citing his late daughter Euris and his plan to make her Empress. During a Disith surprise attack on the weakened capital, Marius assassinates the Emperor and dies. Vincent rescues Sophia from the Emperor's guards, bringing her to safety aboard the Urbanus.
