As Christmas approaches, the friends reflect on personal habits and beliefs. Konata admits to falling asleep on bus rides and missing her stop, while she and Miyuki both studied for four hours. Tsukasa shares differing views on Santa Claus, and Kagami notes her frequent visits to Tsukasa’s class. Yui discusses detective shows with Konata, and they joke about Christmas cakes appearing ordinary after age twenty-five. Before winter break, the group takes final exams; Konata performs poorly and feels jealous of Miyuki’s bust size rather than her grades. Nanako buys a Christmas cake, and Konata and Kagami visit an anime shop. On Christmas Eve, Konata’s father enjoys her gifts despite her lateness, and Yui returns home drunk to find her husband waiting. Konata finds her teacher online in a game, and the next morning, the girls discuss static electricity while Konata’s father shocks himself. Akira announces her appearance in the next episode of Lucky Star.
