Ep. 8: Athletic Festival Events and Afternoon Activities for the Girls
The school athletic festival features various competitions, with Konata’s father eagerly capturing the moments on camera. Kagami participates in an eating contest, Konata runs the one-hundred meter dash, Tsukasa attempts hurdle jumping, and Miyuki leads her relay team to victory from third place. Following the events, Tsukasa struggles to play a song on the recorder until Kagami advises her to reduce her blowing force. The group then gathers in the cafeteria for lunch and conversation. Later, Konata visits a bookstore to purchase manga but realizes she already owns volume five of Shuffle!. In the Lucky Channel segment, Akira mocks Minoru for being merely an assistant, only to discover he received fan mail while she did not. The segment concludes with Akira inviting viewers to vote for a character to become a live figure.
