Ep. 21: Muru’s Romantic Misunderstandings of Lupin and Fujiko on the Island

Muru, a romantic villager from Mitten, tells mermaid legends to fishermen until a drawbridge accident brings Lupin’s gang to the island. While Lupin waits for repairs, Muru becomes enchanted by Fujiko, mistaking her for a mermaid and imagining the men as suitors. She orchestrates a full moon meeting where Fujiko wears a mermaid costume, expecting a competition for her affection. The plan fails when only Lupin confesses his love and is rejected. Upon discovering Lupin is the famous thief, Muru abandons her previous fantasy and begins crafting a new story featuring Fujiko and herself as femme fatales.
