Ep. 39: Speed Fakes Death After Assassins Push Him Off a Cliff
Aired on December 24, 1967
Following Speed’s rescue of President Montebank from an assassination attempt, he is invited to the vice-president’s residence a few days later. There, the assassins incapacitate Speed, and one uses a Speed Racer face mask to transport him and the Mach 5 to a remote location before pushing them over a cliff. Speed subsequently fakes his own death. The assassins then attempt to target President Montebank again, but Speed and Racer X intervene to defeat the gang of assassins.
