Speed travels on a plane with Dr. Fantasty for the North American Grand Prix, while Spritle and Chim Chim stow away. During the flight, masked men hijack the aircraft to an uncharted island. There, the group encounters Mark Meglaton, the masked leader who intends to force Speed and Dr. Fantasty to assist in stealing art worldwide before launching missiles at major cities for world domination. Pops and Racer X arrive to rescue the group and help defeat Meglaton. The conflict concludes with the discovery that Meglaton is actually the unnamed best friend of Dr. Fantasty.
