Kaito abandons his plan to steal the Red Tear upon recalling his father's warning about the gem's secret. He encounters the owner, Jody Hopper, and notices Snake trailing her, leading him to conclude that the organization is targeting the artifact. To safeguard Jody, Kaito infiltrates her magic performance and successfully evades Snake. He then demonstrates that illuminating the gem with firelight reveals images of Jody's childhood along with a message from her grandfather. The message urges her to reclaim her passion for magic despite the loss of her parents.
