Umi and Fuu battle Rakoon and Rasheen while Selece and Windam explain the djinn's connection to Tarta and Tatra. Hikaru despairs over her broken sword preventing Rayearth summoning. The djinn subdue the Rune Gods, but Aska intervenes with a giant Sang Yung to capture them. Tarta and Tatra resummon the Rune Gods to attack the giant. Selece and Windam reveal both princesses can become the Pillar. Aska orders the giant to capture the Rune Gods; it grabs Fuu, injures Umi with an energy beam, and returns to the Dome. Rakoon and Rasheen take Umi to the Bravada. Hikaru agrees to revive her sword with Presea despite the risk of death. Emeraude's crown glows, and Nova tells Debonair she found a new feeling in Hikaru. Lantis senses stronger evil, and Eagle Vision learns the Magic Knights are separated with Hikaru in the castle.
