Melissa, Genie, and Merrill seek a magician to open a sealed door. After traveling to Ohfun, they meet Louie, who causes trouble with Merrill and fights rivals. They later visit a pub where Ila introduces Louie, but the trio rejects him. Louie damages the pub with a magical device, angering Genie. Meanwhile, Melissa prepares for her Sacred Ritual of Revealing, expecting a knight. Louie, released by Master Carwes, realizes the adventurers need help. Genie and Merrill visit Melissa after her ritual, which reveals her champion. Louie arrives at the temple, evades priestesses, and fights Genie and Merrill on the roof. His spell backfires, destroying the roof and causing him to fall into the sacred pool. Melissa screams, recognizing Louie as her destined champion.
