Ep. 85: Godai and Mitaka Face a Fateful Duel During Final Exam Stress

While Godai studies for final exams, Mitaka remains heartbroken over his Yokohama trip with Kyoko and avoids tennis courts. Asuna overhears neighbors discussing Mitaka’s engagement status and, believing Shun is seeing another woman, heads to Maison Ikkoku to confront Kyoko. Instead, she encounters Godai. Yusaku notices Asuna crying and visits Mitaka to explain the situation, but Mitaka refuses to talk. The two men agree to settle their issues with fists, spending the night searching for a location while a persistent police officer interrupts them. They eventually drink away their troubles. Godai leaves the gathering and finds Kyoko waiting at the train station, where she slaps him upon seeing his drunken state. Meanwhile, Mitaka returns home to find Asuna waiting at his apartment door.
