Ep. 89: Godai faces Kyoko's anger over Kozue, leading to a kiss and her sudden departure from Maison Ikkoku

After finals end, Godai returns to Maison Ikkoku to find Kyoko distant and angry. Suspecting she saw him with Kozue, he meets her friend, who misunderstands his intent to propose to Kyoko. Back at the apartment, Kyoko confronts Godai about kissing Kozue. He attempts a trick to prove innocence, but she counters by kissing him before fleeing inside. Excited, Godai prepares to reject Kozue, but learns she cannot refuse her friend's proposal. Enraged, Kyoko slaps Yusaku and leaves the bar. Godai chases her, but she demands he move out. He refuses, so Kyoko packs her bags and quits her job as manager, leaving Maison Ikkoku early the next morning while everyone sleeps.
