Goro receives two tickets to the All-Star game from Gibson. When his mother becomes ill, he invites his friends to accompany him. The group holds a drawing to decide who attends, and Shimizu wins. Accompanied by an interpreter, the three travel to the event. During the trip, Shimizu accidentally breaks Goro's arm. At the game, Gibson announces he will only throw fastballs and successfully strikes out the side for the three innings he pitches. Afterward, Gibson invites Goro and Shimizu down to allow Goro to get revenge by beaning him. However, Goro asks Gibson to wait until he is older, stating he cannot pitch yet and believing Gibson has much to offer fans worldwide.
