Reiko deals with the passing of Akio, a beloved, severely malfunctioning robot with three eyes and four legs. She is accompanied by Mamoru, a centauroid partner who remains functional but exhibits the same deteriorating symptoms as Akio. In the second half, a family patriarch nearing the end of his life reflects on memories shared with old friends. However, his recollections are interrupted by strange and severe anomalies that disrupt his final moments. The narrative explores themes of loss, mechanical decay, and the surreal nature of dying, contrasting the grief of a young girl with the confusing final experiences of an elderly man facing his own mortality amidst these bizarre occurrences.
