Ep. 5: Asami loses memory after attack while Kanba seeks funds to save their home

Natsume questions Asami Kubo and fires a red ball at her head, erasing her memory of the escalator incident. Kanba learns his uncle plans to sell their house and visits a strange person to raise money. Shouma and Himari find Ringo, who had a bad day, and invite her home. Shouma asks about her Diary of Fate, but both are summoned by the Penguin Hat. The Hat orders Shouma to retrieve the diary, but Ringo breaks free and throws the hat onto a truck, causing Himari to fall dead again. Kanba retrieves the hat and returns it to Himari, recalling a struggle nine years ago during a typhoon when his father took him out while Himari had a fever.
