This sequence causes a chimney pipe to fall from a nearby villa, striking and killing Kohei Inoue, chairman of the restaurant chain "Cheom Cheom," while he drinks coffee on his deck. Inspector Yamamura informs the Mouri family, who had just resolved a minor intruder case involving a raccoon, about the incident. Although Yamamura and others suspect an accident, Conan observes a dent on the pipe's end, deducing that human intervention caused the fatal fall rather than a mere mishap.
