Genta drops a sausage, creating a stain, prompting Rumi to order another from Sakura Menda. Menda directs Maika Kayaki, whose swimsuit loosens, requiring help from Takaki Kooriyama. When Kooriyama fails to open a jar, hut owner Katsunori Usui intervenes, explaining their employment while recalling his breakup with Menda for Kayaki’s brother. Usui requests extra pineapple juice before his lunch break. At noon, the boys swim while Subaru and Rumi converse, fueling mutual suspicion toward each other and Haibara. Kayaki purchases the juice and stores it in a cooler. As lunch ends, Menda questions Kayaki about the missing staff. Upon arriving at the break area, they discover Usui dead, causing Menda to scream and alert Conan’s group.
