After winning a contest, Mouri Kogoro, Conan, and Ran go on vacation where four friends recognize the famous detective. During dinner, a rude man attempts to buy one of their businesses but is refused. The group then reveals that this same man was responsible for causing their fifth friend to commit suicide thirteen years ago, casting a dark shadow over the gathering.
