Conan determines how Shirafuji’s body was positioned on the road and identifies the killer. He mimics Agasa’s voice to explain that the victim was murdered and placed on a van using the sunroof and plastic wrap to minimize friction. Releasing the sunroof caused the body to fall backward while the vehicle moved, explaining its discovery location. Conan accuses college student Haruka Tendou, citing her switch to different jeans and the disposal of the blood-stained pair. Tendou admits to feigning wealth and killing friends who exploited her for money. Meanwhile, Haibara permits Ayumi to call her Ai-chan, marking an acceptance of their friendship.
