While resolving this, Conan’s hidden transmitter sticks to Rena’s shoe, allowing him to overhear her contact with Gin. The Black Organization plans to assassinate Yasuteru Domon, a candidate for Japan's Shuugi-In. Conan and Jodie Starling thwart the attempt using sprinklers. The FBI intercepts and captures Rena, while Gin finds the transmitter and suspects Kogoro. Korn and Chianti target Kogoro but are stopped by Shuichi Akai’s sniper fire. The Organization flees, believing it an FBI trap. Conan informs Haibara that Rena provides a crucial lead against the Black Organization.
