Ep. 440: The Detective Boys attend a stunt show where a driver dies in a suspicious crash.

The Detective Boys visit a Kamen Yaiba stunt show where director Shinji Fukamachi and assistant director Hidehiko Nakasato reprimand stunt driver Kengo Rikiishi for performing a dangerous car jump. Kengo, angered by the crew's insistence on using an RC car for the roof scene, performs the stunt in a rage and dies upon impact. Conan detects that the seat belt was loose, indicating Kengo attempted to escape but was prevented. After the police are alerted, Conan reveals the accident was a premeditated murder. He proves that director Fukamachi swapped the cars and locked the seat belt to ensure Kengo could not exit the vehicle. Fukamachi confesses to using production funds to pay off debts, while the children return home with Genta covered in stickers.
