Takagi and Miyamoto pose as a bride and groom to catch a serial killer who threatened the real couple. Chiba reports a burned corpse near the river, leading Megure to deduce the victim was killed for a wedding invitation. A mysterious video arrives, prompting Megure to suspect the killer is in the chapel. Conan suggests the bride meet guests to find the burglar who entered her home. The bride identifies three suspicious guests: a photographer, a snowboarding instructor, and an internet administrator. The groom insists the wedding proceed despite Megure’s protests. As the bride walks down the aisle, the burglar appears, but the groom reveals Chiba is a police officer posing as the burglar. Megure points out Chiba was by the river, so the groom could not have known his identity. Megure reveals the groom was the burglar’s accomplice who killed him to marry the bride for money. The groom attempts to escape but is stopped by Conan and Ran.
