A man buys a ticket to see a movie sequel that he and his friends watched in the past. He gives the ticket to one of his friends and then leaves. However, clues he leaves behind lead Conan to believe that the man has more on his mind. The man plans to commit suicide and intends to frame his friend for the act afterward. Conan must determine if he can prevent the man from following through with this plan before it is too late. The story focuses on the investigation into the man's intentions and the potential framing of his friend.
