Ep. 497: Kusuda detonates explosives while Akai plans an ambush against the Black Organization

Kusuda is caught photographing patient records in the nurse's lounge and reveals explosives under his cervical collar, threatening detonation if arrested. He escapes the hospital by car but is pursued by Conan and Akai, ultimately committing suicide with his own gun before capture. The FBI struggles to protect Rena from the Black Organization, leading Akai to decide that hospital staff must remain uninvolved while he devises an ambush strategy. Later, Eisuke enters Rena's room to question her regarding his sister. Frustrated by her comatose condition, he attempts to stab her with scissors, but she grabs his hand and stops him.
