Conan solves the murder by tranquilizing Mouri Kogorou, with Tooru Amuro assisting in the deductions. Yukiko Kudo reveals Akai's true identity, while Amuro introduces himself as Bourbon to Haibara. Ran searches for Sera and Haibara, but Kogorou is unaware of their location. Bourbon and Haibara discuss Moroboshi Dai, also known as Shuichi Akai, whom Bourbon believes died during the Clash of Red and Black. As Bourbon attempts to capture Sherry, a man resembling Akai watches from smoke created by Vermouth's bombs. Sherry appears to die in the explosion, and Bourbon reports this to Vermouth. Gin remains unconvinced by Vermouth's uncertainty regarding who she saw die. Subaru is observed watching Vermouth and Bourbon before it is revealed he is Akai in disguise.
