Conan dispatches a cat carrying a message on a taxi receipt, but the paper escapes before Amuro can seize it. Amuro pursues the flying document and successfully decodes its contents. With no assistance arriving, Conan deduces the final destination is Agasa's house. He alters the receiver's address to redirect the package to the Kudo house. Subaru understands this maneuver and returns a parcel containing a phone through delivery personnel. Before Conan can contact the police, the couriers capture the children. Amuro arrives just in time to prevent the men from harming them. He denies interpreting the message, claiming the receipt was lost to the wind. He also refuses the children's invitation to visit Agasa's house.
