However, Kogoro establishes that Junko was in Beika City at the time of the crime. Since the two locations are an hour apart, the alibi is verified and Junko is released. Dissatisfied with this outcome, Conan, Kogoro, and Ran investigate Junko’s coworker and ex-boyfriend to uncover the truth behind the case.
