Ep. 951: Detective Boys assist cafe owner Tamaki Yujiro with book transport and appraisal duties.
The Detective Boys help Tamaki Yujiro, who appeared in episode 868, transport books to Mizutani’s home. Yujiro cannot purchase the items because Mizutani lacks her husband’s permission. After Ayumi finds a silverfish, Yujiro places lavender-scented paper in the books. Sawada Ryosuke later visits the cafe to have books appraised. The following day, Mizutani’s rare books are stolen, and she suspects Yujiro. That evening, Sawada buys the books for appraisal, and Yujiro recognizes the lavender paper he previously placed inside. Realizing Sawada is the thief, Yujiro attempts to contact the police but is pushed aside as Sawada escapes. Sawada is subsequently found murdered in a park, leaving Yujiro as the prime suspect. Conan utilizes Professor Agasa’s voice to exonerate Yujiro and identify the actual culprit.
