Conan, George Kojima, Mitsuhiko, and Ayumi arrive at Kuronosu Station, home to a village-run insect human ranch. An eerie cry emanates from the woods behind a no-go sign, which turns out to be the sound of villagers operating excavators and bulldozers. The group is met with hostile glares from the workers and quickly retreats. Upon returning to the station, they encounter a human beetle in front of the cafeteria, deepening the strange atmosphere of the location.
