Police question restaurant staff, learning Fukamachi visited alone and tried bribing Yuri, who refused. Morooka’s bodyguard notes his master’s fluctuating weight and frequent injuries. Amuro and Conan question the bodyguard, who denies seeing anything unusual. Amuro remembers a blonde doctor from his youth. Police find Morooka lived in Tottori for four years after eloping. Amuro receives a text from Rum urging him to gather information on Kudo Shinichi. This triggers memories of the Miyano Clinic, where he was treated by Elena and Akemi. Elena, Shiho’s mother, is half-foreigner. Her husband Atsushi considered rejecting a research transfer offer to stay with his family, despite Karasuma Group sponsorship and Mary’s suspicions. Elena supports his dream and plans to close the clinic. She is three months pregnant with Shiho, leading Atsushi to reconsider the offer.
