Chiaki lashes out at Uchida, Kana, and Maki for their loud laughter during a nap. Kana delegates the confrontation, resulting in a stalemate. Later, Maki visits Makoto, Uchida, and Kana, asking Kana to view her sleeping face while recalling a dysphoric middle school memory. Kana sees an opportunity to prank the sleeping pair. In another scene, Haruka and Atsuko review middle school photos. Chiaki sews a button and accidentally cuts Haruka’s skirt while modifying a shirt. Kana and Chiaki attempt frantic repairs to avoid Haruka’s anger, but Maki discovers the damage, leading to trouble. Finally, Kana confronts Chiaki for repeated insults. Deciding to act as a nice older sister to prevent Chiaki from becoming a delinquent, Kana instead unsettles Chiaki, who ends up co-sleeping with Haruka out of fear.
