Chiaki notices Haruka appearing distressed and seeks help from Kana, though both girls fail to identify the minor cause, which Haruka finds amusing. After school, parallel conversations occur between the pairs, and the confusion ends when everyone makes faces at each other. Later, Chiaki overcomes a nightmare while Kana experiences a similar one involving Haruka. The story concludes with a misunderstanding where Kana’s Tanabata wish to reject sweets is misread as a suicide note, frightening Haruka and Chiaki. The group quickly clears up the error and enjoys the Tanabata party, relieved to be together.
