Ep. 5: Tsubaki's dark cult past and Yuki's strategic battle against her diary powers.
Flashbacks reveal Tsubaki’s parents fabricated her clairvoyance to build a cult, leading to her trauma and desire for destruction after losing her mother’s ball. Yomotsu, who infiltrated the group using his Justice Diary, attempts to kill Tsubaki but is identified and slain by Yuno, who recognizes he is blind. Tsubaki captures Yuki and Yuno, intending to execute them alongside Keigo and Yomotsu. Yuno defeats the captors, severs Tsubaki’s hand, and gives her diary to Yuki before collapsing. Yuki uses the diaries to evade detection until Tsubaki threatens Yuno, forcing Yuki to confront her. He neutralizes her predictive power by distracting her followers with a small ball, then pierces her diary with a dart. Unable to deflect the blow due to her missing hand, Tsubaki vanishes, allowing Yuki and Yuno to escape. Meanwhile, Minene is released by Yomotsu but captured by Keigo, who frees her in exchange for contact details.
