Industria chooses to repair the Barracuda for use. Monsley reflects on her past while Conan and Gil plot to destroy the vessel. Dyce accompanies Lana to the fish preserve, where the fish behave erratically. Lana attempts to warn the villagers but is stopped by Orlo; Dyce intervenes to rescue her. Lana telepathically alerts Conan about the incoming tidal wave. Conan informs the group, prompting a rush to higher ground. Orlo refuses to flee, leading Conan to defeat him and ensure his safety. The soldiers surrender, resulting in a victory for the villagers.
