This peaceful gathering is interrupted by the arrival of Kurt, a bark-beetle consumed by love. His erratic behavior and constant talk of his beloved disturb the group's harmony. The situation worsens when his love interest finally appears, causing the pleasant atmosphere to vanish immediately as her presence dispels the earlier good mood among the sheltering creatures.
