Ep. 13: Wei Wuxian Ambushed by Wen Sect, Jiang Cheng Seeks Alliance for Revenge

Wei Wuxian escorts Jiang Cheng to Yiling to meet Baoshan Sanren, instructing him to wear a blindfold and claim to be Cangse Sanren's son. While waiting below, Wei Wuxian is attacked by the Wen sect and stabbed by Wen Chao. He threatens to become a vengeful ghost if killed, then is thrown into the Burial Mounds to die. Lan Wangji arrives in Yiling but finds only Wei Wuxian's bell and returns to Gusu, where Inquiry yields no results. Meanwhile, Lan Xichen recruits smaller clans to oppose the Wen sect. During a meeting at Cloud Recesses, Jiang Cheng appears to demand revenge, successfully persuading the major sect leaders to join the alliance. In the Burial Mounds, Wei Wuxian survives and embraces resentful energy to gain power for vengeance.
