Shirogane experiences a strange dream and becomes ill, causing the team to postpone their strategy against Nanaya so he can rest. Enraged by his boss's loss of hope, Nanaya kidnaps Kengo and Aya to force Shirogane to act. While Shirogane remains in bed, Akira ventures out to rescue his friends but is nearly killed by Nanaya. Shirogane arrives to save Akira but collapses immediately after. Seizing the opportunity, Nanaya captures the weakened Shirogane and takes him away. Akira is left staring into the darkness, furious that he failed to save Shirogane.
