Ep. 21: Renzo seeks revenge on Manji while Ryo survives Koji's carbon dioxide trap.

Meguro, Tanpopo, and Magatsu shelter from snow while Rin and Manji recover. Renzo attempts to sever Manji's arms for revenge, but Magatsu advises him to learn about his father first. Ryo joins Ban, Lord Habaki's man, to hunt Koji's Ittou-ryuu band. Ryo suspects Ban plans to desert, but they face booby traps set by Koji. Ban dies from carbon dioxide fumes released from jars in the woods. Koji kills the hallucinating Ban and pursues the fume-sick Ryo. She defeats him using a trap of her own. Lord Mitake finds Ryo and takes her to Giichi for protection, as she holds the last of Kagimura's blood. Meanwhile, Kagimura intends to eliminate the remaining Ittou-ryuu members before they can reunite.
