Ep. 26: The Sea, Land, Wind, Heart, and You Colors Reflect a Calm Earth State

Manaka returns to the surface with her Ena restored, realizing her love for Hikari mirrors Miuna’s. The Sea God had previously suppressed the Ojoshi’s feelings to protect her from grief. Hikari tries to free Miuna at her grave but fails until Tsumugu finds Uroko. Guilt-ridden, Hikari offers his own emotions to soothe the Sea God, causing the Sacred Flame to burn the grave and rescue Miuna. Uroko explains the Ojoshi valued both her past love and her life with the Sea God. Consequently, the sea stirs, and Shioshishio residents awaken, starting with Hikari’s father, who wishes to meet his grandson. Life resumes in the village as Akira gains Ena, and the Saltflake Snow ceases, halting planetary cooling. Hikari and Manaka finally acknowledge their mutual feelings while watching the sea.
