Miu Shinoda advises Nobu on assisting Nana O. with hyperventilation, though she ignores psychiatric recommendations to focus on Black Stones. On October 1, 2001, the band performs their first guerrilla gig in Shinjuku, where Nana K. accidentally attends. Nana O. later feels distressed upon seeing Nobu and Miu grow closer and recalling his abandonment of Nana K., nearly hyperventilating again. She realizes Yasu can calm her and considers ending her relationship with Ren to be with him. Meanwhile, Takumi observes that Reira is wearing Shin's lighter, adding to the complex interpersonal dynamics within the group.
