While Rinji's forces attack Lee's group, Naruto and Guren assist one another against the hungry mini Three-Tails. Yuukimaru and Kakashi formulate a strategy to locate the Three-Tails using the boy's abilities and rescue the pair. After escaping an illusionary fog, Naruto recognizes Guren's true intentions. Yuukimaru plays a melody taught by his mother above the submerged beast, prompting Kakashi to crack its barrier. Hearing the tune, Naruto and Guren break free from their confinement. This segment is part of the Three-Tails' Appearance arc, specifically episode 20 out of 24.
