As Orochimaru's body nears its limit before the Reanimation jutsu, he and Kabuto discuss Sasuke Uchiha's growth during the Chunin Exams. Orochimaru expresses his desire for Sasuke's body. After practicing ninja techniques, Sasuke attacks Orochimaru, having nothing left to learn. Orochimaru reveals his true form as a giant white snake and attempts to take Sasuke's body. Sasuke counters this using his Cursed Seal. Meanwhile, Tsunade discovers that the Three-Tails has been taken by Akatsuki. This event occurs during the Itachi Pursuit Mission arc.
