Kiba, Shino, and Hinata of Team 8 investigate a cave with a breached protective barrier. White Zetsu ambush them, forcing a standoff until the Sealing Corps arrives. As the corps prepares to seal the cave, White Zetsu pursue, but an accidental collision with an oil lamp ignites oil connected to Paper bombs, causing an explosion. Team 8 regroups to find the Sealing Corps dead. Suspicion arises, leading them to play Rock-Paper-Scissors to identify a fake. Shino appears to lose, but Kiba defeats him, revealing Hinata as the impostor while the real Shino appears elsewhere. Shino explains his hand signals and insect clones. They defeat the White Zetsu and locate the real Hinata safely on the ground.
