Naruto travels to the battlefield alongside Killer Bee but is pulled into his subconscious by the Nine Tails. The beast questions Naruto's ability to endure the hatred brought by the war and recalls Sasuke Uchiha's childhood resentment from their first meeting. Offended by the Nine Tails' claim that stopping hatred is futile, Naruto pins the creature down. He declares his determination to address the upcoming war, Sasuke's animosity, and the Nine Tails' own hatred, refusing to accept the beast's pessimistic view of the conflict ahead.
