Kurotsuchi visits the Fifth Division where Deidara is held prisoner. A White Zetsu disguised as a samurai attempts to free Deidara but stops when Kurotsuchi and Okisuke arrive. Okisuke discovers the guard is an imposter and attacks, revealing a group of White Zetsu. Deidara breaks free and escapes, prompting the Fifth Division to chase him. He attempts to use his Super Ultimate Art while fleeing. Sasuke appears, enraging Deidara, who chases him to a valley. The encounter is revealed to be a fake orchestrated by Kurotsuchi. The Fifth Division corners Deidara, who cannot fight back, and captures him again. This event occurs during the Fourth Shinobi World War: Confrontation arc, episode 19 of 53.
