The Second Mizukage and Third Raikage escape Gaara's sealing jutsu and defeat a shinobi platoon. The Second Mizukage summons a giant clam to create a mirage while Gaara leaves to face Mu. Oonoki and Mu exchange blows until Gaara arrives to assist. Naruto uses his Planetary Rasengan on Mu, who evades it, but Gaara's support allows Naruto to land the attack. Before Mu can be sealed, he utters a warning that is cut short. Meanwhile, the Second Mizukage warns the platoon not to attack the mirage. Gaara senses the real clam's location, and a chakra-depleted Oonoki delivers a powerful Earth Style punch. Exhausted, Oonoki is targeted from behind by the Second Mizukage, who shoots him with a water gun jutsu developed by the Hozuki clan.
